We are an out-of-network provider, but many PPO plans reimburse a portion of physical therapy with a physician’s prescription. If you’d like to submit for reimbursement, we’re happy to provide a superbill that includes all the codes your insurance needs. Payment is due at the time of your visit, and you can submit your superbills anytime—though we recommend doing so after your first or second appointment. Coverage varies by plan, so please check your out-of-network benefits in advance.
If you have a physician’s prescription for medically necessary physical therapy and are seeking treatment for that condition, we are unable to provide care—even if you prefer to be seen at our studio.
This is because we are not enrolled as a Medicare provider, and our billing system is not set up to submit claims to Medicare.
If you have Medicare, you must first use your Medicare benefits with a Medicare-approved physical therapy provider outside of Bridge Wellness. We are happy to provide referrals if needed.
While our physical therapists cannot accept payment (including self-pay) for medically necessary physical therapy services for Medicare beneficiaries, some Medicare-eligible clients may still be seen at Bridge Wellness for preventative, general fitness, maintenance, or wellness services. These services are not considered Medicare-covered interventions and may be available even if you have secondary insurance.
In some cases, we may need to review your situation to determine whether services fall under medical treatment or wellness care. If services are determined to be wellness-based and not medically necessary, you will be asked to sign an acknowledgment confirming that you are receiving wellness services only and not physical therapy treatment.
Our comprehensively trained, certified Pilates teachers have completed 450+ hours of training and passed a third-party certification exam to earn the Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) credential. These sessions are designed for fitness and overall wellness.
Pilates sessions provided by a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant for fitness purposes do not meet the definition of medical necessity and are not considered medical treatment. These sessions are ideal for clients who want to work with a practitioner who has advanced knowledge of the human body to improve alignment, posture, performance, and movement efficiency. Our clinicians may also draw on their specialized training to address movement patterns and physical findings within a wellness-based setting.
Because these sessions are classified as fitness (non-coded) services, they cannot be submitted to medical insurance or other third-party reimbursement sources (including auto or accident claims). These packages do not include treatment or billing codes. In some cases, services may be eligible for use with HSA or Flexible Spending accounts, depending on federal guidelines. We recommend confirming eligibility with your HSA/FSA provider in advance. These sessions are intended for self-pay or as a gift, with no expectation of insurance reimbursement.
